Our first library, Nardy’s Library is located in Rosario, Diadi, Neuva Vizcaya. Established in December 2012, Nardy’s library reaches out to approximately 200 school-going children. It houses a collective 1300 books, ranging from pre-school fiction to adult fiction and non-fiction and encyclopedias. On average, 30 to 50 books are loaned out of the library per month. Additionally, with the help of three local volunteers and equipped with a radio, children’s CDs, posters, teaching equipment and educational games, the library additionally serves as a weekend-class centre. Nardy’s library also works in close partnership with Nagsabaran Primary School, a local village school, providing additional resources to the school and its students.
